Football is yet another favorite sport in Trinidad and Tobago. The national
team is headed by Dwight Yorke and the team was qualified for 2006 world cup
finals. Women’s football league is also conducted in the nation. Rugby is a
popular game in Trinidad, both men’s and women’s leagues have keen
competition. The Rugby teams play locally
and abroad as well. Beach volleyball is a favorite pastime for Trinidadians.
Championship events are conducted in volleyball regularly. As Trinidad and
Tobago is Twin Island, game fishing is the most popular sport. The nation
plays host to several international tournaments. Kingfish tournament in June
and Wahoo tournament in March are more famous events here.
